I am on a pilgrimage from my family farm and home in Ohio to my past haunts in Oregon and on to sights/sites unknown within this lovely country which I call my own. This is the next step for me into a future, not yet determined. I am experiencing a great deal of freedom and delight at being "homeless" after decades of responsibilities for other people and groups with whom I have various kinds and levels of relationship. When I arrive in Oregon, I want to lighten my "footprint" by divesting myself of some of the boxes of "things" that I have collected over my adult life which are currently in a storage place in Eugene. Hopefully, I will be willing to recycle, do give-aways, yard sales, and otherwise creative ways to find happy new homes for the things that I have loved and now am able to let go of.
The next step will be to find my ideal model of VW Pop-Top Camper Van which will allow me to be "at home" wherever I happen to be--a place that will meet my simple human needs without having to rely heavily on the consumer culture of hotels/motels, restaurant meals, and expensive transportation options. Obviously, unless I find a vehicle that has been altered to allow me to travel without expending gasoline-based fuel, I will still be largely dependent on non-renewable resources, which I regret and will hope to remedy in the future.
My desire is to use my travels to connect friends, strangers, groups, ideas and efforts through this blog and otherwise so that more cooperation, shared resources, inspiration, and evolutionary consciousness can be the result. I want to serve as a "Troubadour" of Peace and Expanding Consciousness as we all move through this particular time in history where the future holds the possibility for chaos and disaster as well as the birth of a totally new paradigm in which we (of the human race) choose to create a positive new way of relating to one another and the whole of the created universe. I welcome your participation along this journey with me! Please enjoy!
         In Peace,
